GOVS RUN Race Information
THE DATE: Sunday, November 5, 2017
THE TIME: Race starts at 1pm
THE LOCATION: Scott County Park – Long Grove, IA – Whispering Pines Shelter
THE COURSE: This race is classified as a European Cross Country Run with two courses: The most difficult course is 4+/- Miles. The easiest & shortest course is 2 miles. Great opportunity for competition or leisurely workout with plenty of surprises throughout!
Both courses begin at Whispering Pines shelter. Courses include trails, maintained and unmaintained, wooded areas, natural and artificial hazards, water and MUD!
(Now – 8/31) Pre-Registration $18 – (Kids 18 & under receive a $2 discount)
(9/1 – 10/25) Race Registration $20 -(Kids 18 & under receive a $2 discount)
(10/26 – 11/5) Race Day Registration $22 -(Kids 18 & under receive a $2 discount)

THE PACKET: Packet Pick Up will be at Governor’s 3470 Middle Rd Bettendorf, IA 52722 On Saturday November 4, 2017 from noon until 5pm
THE MEAL: Governor’s (3470 Middle Rd Bettendorf, IA 52722) will be offering a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday November 4, 2017 from noon until 5pm. Adults are $12, Kids 12 and under are only $8.
THE BENEFIT: Proceeds Benefit CBRC Nancy Kapheim Memorial Scholarship Fund**
THE PRIZES: Many prizes from CBRC, Running Wild & Governor’s.
THE AWARDS: Special awards in many “crazy” categories. Awards start approximately at 2:15pm.
THE FOOD: FREE Refreshments! Soft drinks and cider. Warm fire & friendly people. Chili, hot dogs & more available for purchase.
THE PARKING: Shuttle Bus Service available from overflow parking lots.
The WARNING: Weather conditions can make the course very difficult. Be prepared to get wet, muddy, slip, fall, and laugh at yourself.
Run may be canceled by mutual decision of the sponsors, race organizers, and Scott County officials due to dangerous weather conditions or natural disasters.
